The Astrology of Burnout

Why you're tired in a way sleep doesn't fix, and what your chart says about how you're actually built to refill.

You know the kind of tired I mean. Not the good ache after a full day, the bone-deep, no-amount-of-sleep-touches-it kind. You've tried the early nights, the green juice, the app that tells you to breathe. And somewhere under all of it is a quiet question you don't say out loud: why does keeping my head above water take everything I have?

Here's the thing the "rise and grind" internet won't tell you: you're not lazy, and you're not broken. You're very likely running your life on someone else's fuel. Your chart can show you which fuel is actually yours.

Saturn: the bar you keep raising on yourself

Saturn is the part of you that says not good enough yet. In small doses it's discipline, the reason you finish things. Left unchecked, it's the inner manager who moves the finish line every time you get close. A lot of burnout isn't about doing too much; it's about never being allowed to feel done. Where Saturn sits in your chart is often exactly where you're hardest on yourself, and where learning to say "this is enough" changes everything.

The Moon: how you actually recharge

Your Moon is your nervous system in symbol form, what soothes you, what depletes you. And here's the catch: we're sold one idea of rest (a bath, a candle, an early night), but your Moon might need something completely different. A fire Moon refills by doing something that lights them up, not lying still. A water Moon needs to feel safe and held before they can let go. An air Moon rests by talking it out; an earth Moon by getting their hands on something real. If your "self-care" leaves you more restless, it was probably designed for someone else's Moon.

Mars: where your energy actually goes

Mars is your battery, how you spend effort. When you're pouring Mars energy into things that drain you and starving the things that would light you up, no amount of rest fixes it, because the leak is upstream. Burnout is often just Mars pointed in the wrong direction for too long.

So when someone comes to me exhausted, we don't start with "do less." We start with: what's actually yours here, and what have you been carrying because you thought you had to? Rest isn't a reward you earn after the to-do list. In your chart, it's a need, as real as the drive to do anything at all.

If you're tired in that way that's hard to explain, your chart has language for it. Bring it to a House Blend and let's find where your energy is leaking, and what genuinely fills you back up. Over a slow coffee, naturally. ✦
